Red First Contact Polymer

Red Formula First Contact Polymer is our “General Purpose” polymer used for most Substrates & applications. Optical glass, Si, Ge, ZNSE, NaCI, KBr and many other substrates as well as nearly all coatings are compatible with the Red Formula.

FC Gold Formula First Contact Polymer

The FC Gold Formula First Contact Polymer is a specialized cleaning solution developed for gold-coated optics. It exhibits significantly lower adhesion compared to the standard Red Formula, making it ideal for cleaning sensitive gold surfaces without compromising coating integrity. This formulation is particularly beneficial when the coating's integrity is uncertain or potentially compromised.

DTC Formula First Contact Polymer
The DTC Formula First Contact Polymer is a specialized cleaning solution developed to address issues such as high adhesion and surface staining encountered with standard First Contact formulations on reactive and precision-machined metal surfaces.
FC WR Water Resistant First Contact Polymer
The FC WR Water Resistant Polymer is a specialized cleaning solution designed to protect precision surfaces during polymer application and dicing operations. It offers exceptional resistance to water intrusion and effectively removes dust, fingerprints, and residues. Extensive testing has demonstrated its durability, including immersion for up to 24 hours at room temperature and elevated temperatures up to -25°C in both static and agitated water baths, as well as 30 minutes in an ultrasonic bath.
Plastic Formula First Contact Polymer
The Plastics Formula First Contact Polymer is a specialized cleaning solution developed for delicate plastic optics. It has been tested and found compatible with materials such as polystyrene, certain acrylics, Zeonex, & some polycarbonates. Due to its brief application time and rapid drying, it minimizes the risk of solvent-related damage, even on plastics sensitive to alcohols.
Black Formula First Contact Polymer
The Black Formula First Contact Polymer is a specialized cleaning solution designed to suppress backside reflections on transparent substrates. It effectively reduces signal noise & artifacts in optical metrology, interferometry, and microscopy applications. Unlike semi-permanent paints or inks, this polymer can be easily peeled off, leaving the substrate pristine clean without residue. Its slightly more viscous formulation ensures smooth application & a second coat may be applied if necessary to achieve a continuous black film.
ESD-DF First Contact Polymer
Our ESD Formula is recommended when cleaning static-sensitive surfaces such as CCD CMOS sensors that are not mounted or grounded. The ESD Formula polymer employs carbon nanotubes to create a small amount of electrical connectivity to the polymer.
